Aileen B. Moore, 87, of Parrsboro went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 8, 2008 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre (Infirmary Site), Halifax.
Born in Oxford, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Lalia (Carter) Cove.
She was a member of the Salvation Army since the 1940’s and was a pastor for 17 years.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara Waterland, Woodstock, Ont.; Lalia Yorke (Donald), Stewiacke; Alicia Clarke (David Waterland), Parrsboro; Ruth Perrin, Parrsboro; a son, Stephen (Peggy), Woodstock, Ont.; chosen daughters, Wendy Bragg (Carl), Collingwood; Laura Fowler (Dave), Toronto; 27 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Capt. William Moore; a son, Major “Mike” Moore; sisters, Hazel, Wilma, Ivy; brothers, Murray, Manford, Ernest, Charles, Bly.
Visitation took place 3-5, 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Monday at the Parrsboro Baptist Church, Capt. Jamie Hillier of the Salvation Army and Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
Burial was in the Parrsboro Baptist Cemetery.
