Tidnish -

There were lots of fun activities happening at the Tidnish Community Centre on Sunday, Oct. 25, with area residents celebrating their fall extravaganza.

From chili cook-offs to pumpkin and apple pie cook-offs, pumpkin carving contest for the kids, there were loads of other activities for young and old to take part in.
"This is the second year for the extravaganza and we're quite pleased with the turnout this year. Last year we had only three craft tables and this year we have 10," Edna MacLeod, organizer of the extravaganza, said.
The reason MacLeod gave for holding the extravaganza was to give the community the opportunity to get out within the community.
"We had events happening throughout the year with nothing in the fall, therefore we decided to try this and see how well it went over," Macleod said.
Monies raised at the extravaganza go back into the community to support community needs, according to MacLeod.
Following the extravaganza, which ran from 2 to 5 p.m., there was a chili supper at the community centre for all to enjoy.
