Girl Guides Christmas Bazaar
Nov. 10 - The Amherst Girl Guides are having their annual Christmas Bazaar on from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Trinity-St. Stephen's United Church. "Toasties" will be served with beverages. Crafters are needed as well as donations for the White Elephant Table. For more info call Janet at 667 - 3706.

New Beginnings Evening Worship Service
Nov.11 - New Beginnings Evening Worship Service, St. Davids Presbyterian Church, Junction Rd., Springhill. Special music will be provided by The Travellers. In honour of Remembrance Day, The Travellers will be performing a number of wartime songs in addition to their spiritual selections. Service will begin at 7 p.m. Free will offering. Everyone is welcome.
Afternoon of Bluegrass
Nov. 11 - There will be an afternoon of bluegrass at the Amherst Lions Den from 2 to 4 p.m. A non-perishable food item will be accepted at the door in support of the Amherst Food Bank. Music provided by Blue Horizon.
Remembrance Day Ceremony
Nov. 11 - There wil be a Remembrance Day Ceremony at The Royal Canadian Legion River Hebert Branch 14 at 11 a.m. and a parade beginning at the River Hebert Co-Op at 11 a.m. Potluck banquet at 6 p.m.
Double D 4-H Club Meeting

Bluegrass Concert
Nov. 18 - There will be a bluegrass concert featuring Naomi and Kyle, Pic n Grin and Rustic Harmony at the Lions Den on Electric Street starting at 7:30 p.m. Cost $10 at the door. Proceeds to benefit the Amherst and Area Committee on Drug Awareness.
Art Association Members Exhibit
Nov. 18 - The Sackville Art Association Annual Members Exhibit will commence at Owens Art Gallery, 61 York St., Sackville, N.B., and will run to Dec. 16. Opening reception Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. Featured artist is Janet Tucker.
Minudie Heritage Annual Toy Bingo
Nov. 19 - The annual toy bingo will be held at the Joggins Fire Hall starting at 7 p.m., doors opening at 6. Jackpot $150. There will be a 50/50 draw and tickets on a Christmas basket. All children under 12 who attend receive a prize.
Chignecto Naturalists Club Meeting
Nov. 19 - Jennifer Stewart, wildlife biologist, species at risk recovery with CWS (Environment Canada) will make a presentation on the Sackville Waterfowl Park "A Decade of Change To the Chignecto Naturalists Club. To be held in the basement of the Sackville Public Library, 7.30 pm. Everyone welcome.
Christmas Decorating Demonstration
Nov. 22 - From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. the Cumberland County Museum & Archives 150 Church St., will be having a tea and demonstration of Christmas decorating to be given by Sandy Smith & Janet Moses. Cost $5 per person.
